2010-08-23 to 2010-08-26
School of Hospitality, Culinary Arts & Meal Science, Grythyttan, Sweden
We will now once again arrange a Symposium on Food Associated Pathogens. This time we have the pleasure to invite you to attend this symposium in Grythyttan, Sweden, August 23-26, 2010. The symposium is intended for scientists, technologists and inspectors in the fields of food safety, HACCP, food microbiology, foodborne infections and intoxications. The symposium will offer internationally acclaimed speakers in the topics Salmonella, Clostridium perfringens, Cl. botulinum, Cl. difficile, Staphylococcus aureus, STEC/VTEC/EHEC, Bacillus cereus, Yersinia enterocolitica, Y. pseudotuberculosis, Campylobacter jejuni/coli, Listeria monocytogenes, virus and foodassociated antibiotic resistance. The symposium will also include free reports and posters. In Grythyttan you will find School of Hospitality, Culinary Arts & Meal Science, Örebro University. The scientific part of the symposium will take place in the Nordic Centre of Culinary Arts, former Swedish pavilion at the 1992 world exhibition in Sevilla. This event will give us the opportunity to celebrate the discovery of Listeria monocytogenes in 1910. The dicoverer was the Swedish veterinarian, profesor in food hygiene, parasitology and bacteriology at the Royal College of Veterinary Medicine 1923 — 1949, Gustav Hülphers. The Second Symposium on Food Associated Pathogens is also part of the celebration of the 20 years anniversary of School of Hospitality, Culinary Arts & Meal Science.

Welcome,
