| 2nd Workshop on Bacillus in clinical and agricultural environments (2nd Bacillus workshop) Welcome to the Research Workshop on Bacillus | 4th – 6th March 2026, Umeå University, Sweden This workshop seeks to unite researchers actively engaged in Bacillus and biofilm studies, as well as those entering the field with relevant expertise in associated domains. The primary objective is to facilitate the exchange of insights and concepts, fostering fresh collaborations and synergistic efforts. In particular, the focus of the workshop will be on infection biology and the impact of Bacillus in the “real world”, such as hospitals and biofilms in the healthcare and food industry. Finally, the workshop aims to highlight the biosecurity challenges of B. anthracis. Thus, the secondary aim of this workshop will be to disseminate the experience and knowledge of B. anthracis experts with regard to the security-related issues related to working with this organism.” Conference sessions are expected to cover the following topics: Spore germination Bacillus spore and cellular architecture Bacillus in Food & Industry Bacillus Biofilms Environmental Decontamination of Bacillus Registration is now open! | ||
